MOLA MOLA OSSETRA MONO POWER AMP ANNOUNCED
The Mola Mola Ossetra Mono Power Amp has been announced as the latest evolution of the manufacturer’s Trajectum class D amplifier technology.
Designed as a high-power, low-noise mono amplifier, the Mola Mola Ossetra delivers 350W into 8 ohms from a fully bridged, fully balanced topology, housed in Mola Mola’s distinctive half-width, wave-shaped chassis.

The Mola Mola Ossetra Mono Power Amp features a newly engineered power supply, a discrete class A, DC-coupled input stage and new discrete class A gain stages. The power supply revision is intended to reduce noise while improving both continuous and dynamic power output, alongside increased current capability. This configuration is designed to allow the amplifier to drive a wide range of loudspeaker loads, including low-impedance designs, with consistency.
The input stage topology is derived from that used in the Mola Mola Makua preamplifier and provides a high input impedance for connected sources or preamps, while preventing DC and unrelated noise from reaching the power stage. Shunt regulation is used to supply current dynamically as load demands change across the audio band. Mola Mola quotes input stage distortion of approximately -150dB, with overall THD and IMD specified at below 0.003 per cent at all frequencies and power levels. Bandwidth is stated as greater than 100kHz, with switchable gain of 22dB or 28dB and an unweighted signal-to-noise ratio of 130dB.
Connectivity includes selectable balanced and unbalanced inputs, two pairs of Furutech binding posts wired directly to the PCB using Kubala-Sosna cable, and a 3.5mm trigger input.
