AVID OPUS Pre And AVID OPUS Power Amplifiers Debut At Hong Kong High End AV Show 2026
AVID OPUS PRE AND OPUS POWER AMPLIFIERS LAUNCH IN HONG KONG
British HiFi brand AVID HiFi will be showcasing its new AVID OPUS Pre and AVID OPUS Power amplifiers at the Hong Kong High End AV Show 2026.
The two-component amplification system brings together technologies developed for the company’s flagship electronics in a matched preamplifier and power amplifier package.

AVID OPUS PRE
The AVID OPUS Pre is based on technology from AVID’s flagship CELSUS Pre and uses an ALPS RK50 volume control with integrated remote operation. It also incorporates the company’s Pulsus II phono stage, powered by a dedicated 35VA transformer for electrical isolation. The phono stage features passive RIAA equalisation and adjustable gain and loading for compatibility with both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges. Other design elements include a substantial toroidal transformer, bespoke analogue circuitry and AVID’s polypropylene capacitors.

AVID OPUS POWER AMPLIFIERS
The AVID OPUS Power amplifier features a 1.1kVA toroidal transformer and 132,000μF of reservoir capacitance. According to AVID, the amplifier also employs a custom amplifier topology, polypropylene capacitors and both balanced and single-ended connections, enabling it to drive a wide range of loudspeakers.
