TELLURIUM Q ULTRA SILVER II DIGITAL STREAMING CABLE ‘PLATO’S GHOST’ RESURRECTS SHELVED R&D PROJECT
Tellurium Q has introduced the Tellurium Q Ultra Silver II Digital Streaming Cable, nicknamed ‘Plato’s Ghost’.
The new ethernet cable originates from a previously shelved R&D project that the company had abandoned several years ago. While the original concept had hit technical limitations, Tellurium Q’s Head of Production, Ben, recently revisited the design and materials, identifying potential for use in a digital streaming context.

TELLURIUM Q ULTRA SILVER II DIGITAL STREAMING CABLE
The Tellurium Q Ultra Silver II Digital Streaming Cable incorporates materials not traditionally associated with ethernet cables. These were originally developed for a different purpose but have now been re-engineered for streaming. The reworked design draws on earlier research, breathing new life into ideas that had once reached a dead end, and applying them in a way previously unconsidered.

‘PLATO’S GHOST’ REPRESENTS PURSUIT OF PERFECTION
The nickname ‘Plato’s Ghost’ symbolises both the cable’s origins and Tellurium Q’s design philosophy. Referencing Plato’s concept of striving for an unattainable ideal, the name reflects the ongoing pursuit of sonic excellence that drives product development within the company. In this case, ‘Plato’s Ghost’ speaks to the idea that even an abandoned concept can hold the key to progress when viewed from a fresh perspective.
TELLURIUM Q ULTRA SILVER II DIGITAL STREAMING CABLE JOINS EXISTING RANGE
The Tellurium Q Ultra Silver II Digital Streaming Cable slots neatly into the Ultra Silver II range, known for its detailed and balanced sound. While Tellurium Q notes that the cable’s performance surpasses expectations at this level, it remains true to the character of the Ultra Silver II line.
