MONITOR AUDIO SILVER SERIES 8G INTRODUCES SEVEN NEW LOUDSPEAKER MODELS
The Monitor Audio Silver Series 8G Loudspeakers represent a new seven-model loudspeaker range designed for both two-channel HiFi and multi-channel home cinema systems.
The range includes conventional stereo loudspeakers alongside an On-Wall model, with configurations ranging from 5.1 systems through to Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 installations.
MONITOR AUDIO SILVER SERIES 8G DRIVER TECHNOLOGY
The Silver Series 8G uses Monitor Audio’s C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminium/Magnesium) driver technology, updated with RST III cone geometry. According to the supplied information, the revised geometry is intended to increase structural rigidity while reducing unwanted resonances. The range also features an updated C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter with a vented rear chamber, new shorting ring and UD Waveguide II.
MONITOR AUDIO SILVER SERIES 8G PORT AND CROSSOVER DESIGN
A new ‘Silent Flow’ port system uses a larger diameter and revised flare geometry to manage airflow and reduce turbulence. Monitor Audio says the design is intended to support deeper, cleaner bass. The crossover networks have also been redesigned, with higher-quality components used throughout and a focus on signal division and driver integration.
CABINET CONSTRUCTION
Cabinet construction includes Through-Bolt Driver Bracing, which secures the drive units to the rear of the cabinet and allows them to be tightened to a specified torque. The range also introduces new Outrigger feet, based on the design used for the Platinum Series 3G, with a top-adjust mechanism for levelling. Spikes can be replaced with integrated rubber feet for use on hard floors.
MODELS AND FINISHES
The seven-model line-up comprises the Silver 500, Silver 300, Silver 100, Silver 50, Silver On-Wall, Silver Centre and Silver AMS. The range is intended to cover both conventional stereo systems and larger AV installations. Three finishes are available: High Gloss Black, Satin White and European Walnut. The latter uses a real engineered-wood veneer made from layered sustainable timber.
MONITOR AUDIO SILVER SERIES 8G PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
Monitor Audio has given the Silver 500 8G an MSRP of £2,650 / €3,100 / $3,300 per pair, while the Silver 300 8G is £2,000 / €2,400 / $2,600 per pair. The Silver 100 8G is £1,500 / €1,800 / $2,000 per pair, and the Silver 50 8G is £800 / €1,000 / $1,050 per pair. The Silver On-Wall 8G is £450 / €550 / $575 per piece, the Silver Centre 8G is £800 / €1,000 / $1,050 per piece, and the Silver AMS 8G is £900 / €1,100 / $1,200 per pair. Silver Series 8G is scheduled to be available in August 2026.
