Jamo Loudspeaker Brand Returns hifi news

The Jamo loudspeaker brand is set to return to the international audio market following a change in ownership. Now backed by Cinemaster and Rayleigh Lab, the Danish-founded company is preparing a relaunch with a new product range and renewed focus on its core identity.

The first products from this new phase are expected to be unveiled at High End Vienna 2026.

JAMO LOUDSPEAKER BRAND HERITAGE AND NEW LEADERSHIP

Originally established in Denmark in 1968, Jamo built its reputation on combining Scandinavian design with accessible high-performance sound. Under the new structure, leadership includes Cinemaster CEO Xiaodong Yang, who has previous experience with the brand, alongside Rayleigh Lab’s Thomas Li. Production is expected to take place across both Denmark and China, reflecting a hybrid approach to manufacturing.

DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT DIRECTION

The relaunch is being supported by an international team of designers and engineers. Contributors include Kim Michel, Simon Matthews and Jamie Cobb, alongside Danish design agency HarritSorensen. The development process is focused on revisiting Jamo’s established design language while introducing contemporary materials and engineering approaches aimed at modern listening environments.

JAMO SCANDINAVIAN DESIGN FOCUS

A central element of the relaunch is a renewed emphasis on Scandinavian design principles. The company states that its future products will draw on Nordic influences, including simplicity, functionality and material choice, while maintaining a connection to the brand’s historical identity.

Jamo’s upcoming range is expected to cover a broad spectrum of products, from traditional HiFi loudspeakers to more lifestyle-oriented and connected solutions. The stated aim is to address contemporary listening habits while maintaining a consistent design-led approach.

Pricing and full availability details for the upcoming Jamo loudspeaker range are yet to be confirmed. Further information is expected following the official product reveal at High End Vienna 2026.

HiFi PiG says: Great to see Jamo coming back again, we will be checking them out at Vienna!
