VOLUMIO NOVA INTRODUCES REDESIGNED MUSIC STREAMING INTERFACE
Italian HiFi brand Volumio has announced Volumio Nova, a redesigned user interface for its music streaming and playback platform.
Volumio Nova introduces a revised layout, faster loading, improved music search and greater customisation.
The new interface places album artwork prominently, with updated typography, a choice of light and dark themes and customisable controls and shortcuts. It has been designed to make music browsing and playback more straightforward across Volumio devices.
VOLUMIO NOVA INTERFACE
Nova introduces a unified search function covering all available music sources, with results grouped by category. Users can also pin frequently played albums, playlists and radio stations to the top of the Browse section for easier access.
A further addition is searchable settings, allowing users to type what they want to change rather than navigating through menus. The settings search supports 30 languages.
VOLUMIO NOVA PERFORMANCE AND SOFTWARE
Volumio says the redesigned interface has a smaller loading requirement, with just 209KB of data needed to display the first screen. The company has also rebuilt the underlying technology platform, with the aim of making future software updates and feature development faster.
Nova 1.0 is intended as the starting point for ongoing development, with Volumio planning regular updates based on feedback from listeners and partners.
The interface was developed with input from Volumio users who tested beta versions through the company’s community forum.
VOLUMIO NOVA AVAILABILITY AND PRICE
Nova is included with all Volumio devices and is also available as part of a MyVolumio Premium subscription.
