Aequo Audio Ensium Loudspeakers At Dutch Audio Event 2026
AEQUO AUDIO ENSIUM LEADS A NEW LOUDSPEAKER GENERATION AT DUTCH AUDIO EVENT 2026
Aequo Audio will centre its Dutch Audio Event 2026 presentation on the new Aequo Audio ENSIUM loudspeaker, alongside the passive model, the Aequo Audio ADAMANTIS.
The Aequo Audio ENSIUM was introduced at last year’s DAE, whilst still in pre-production form; this year DAE 2026 visitors can hear the finished product from the Dutch loudspeaker brand.
AEQUO AUDIO ENSIUM AND ADAMANTIS LOUDSPEAKERS
The Aequo Audio ENSIUM and ADAMANTIS cabinets use Diluvite Nanocast-MMC, a nanocomposite developed by designer Ivo Sparidaens through his work in tribology. The material is described as aluminium-free, with a focus on stiffness and damping.
The ADAMANTIS and ENSIUM share the same 116 x 52 x 42cm Diluvite nanocomposite cabinet and three-way, three-driver architecture, but differ significantly in their approach to the bass.
The ADAMANTIS is a fully passive design, rated at 20Hz–45kHz (-3dB in-room), with 89dB sensitivity and a nominal 4-ohm impedance.
The ENSIUM adds an analogue bass-assist system called ARPEC, incorporating onboard amplification for the low-frequency section and allowing the bass response to be adjusted for both room size and speaker placement. It is specified at 16Hz–45kHz, with 91dB sensitivity and an 8-ohm nominal impedance.
ARPEC uses no DSP, with Aequo instead using an analogue circuit to adjust the bass according to the speaker’s position and the amount of room gain available. Both models also feature Aequo’s EHDL high-frequency system and time-aligned driver arrangement, while the Diluvite cabinets are designed to minimise cabinet resonances.
We heard the Aequo Audio ENSIUM in their production form in Vienna at the Xclusive Audio Show, and are looking forward to hearing them at Aequo’s home show in Eindhoven.
DAE 2026 SYSTEM
The Room 8 system combines the Aequo Audio ENSIUM with a Taiko Audio Extreme Server, Playback Designs MPT-8 and MPD-8 DAC, and Westminster Lab equipment.

DUTCH AUDIO EVENT 2026 PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Dutch Audio Event 2026 will be open from 10am until 5pm on both Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th October. The event takes place at Hotel NH Eindhoven Koningshof, Locht 117, 5504 RM Veldhoven.
Advance day tickets are priced at €17.50, excluding booking fees, while an advance weekend ticket costs €25, also excluding booking fees. Tickets will also be available at the door for €25. The venue offers free parking, and the organisers are also providing a free shuttle service to and from Eindhoven Central Station.

The show is divided into four colour-coded zones to help visitors navigate the venue, while all exhibition spaces are located on the ground floor and are accessible to wheelchair users.
