Marantz CINEMA Series 2 AV Receivers
MARANTZ CINEMA SERIES 2 AV RECEIVERS ANNOUNCED WITH UPDATED DAC PLATFORM AND NEW FEATURES
Marantz has announced its new Marantz CINEMA Series 2 AV Receivers, introducing updated versions of its existing home cinema lineup.
The new range includes the Marantz CINEMA 50 Series 2, Marantz CINEMA 60 Series 2, Marantz CINEMA 60 DAB Series 2, which is available in Europe only, and the Marantz CINEMA 70s Series 2.

According to Marantz, the new models build on the current CINEMA range with updates to audio performance, connectivity, gaming support and installation features.

MARANTZ CINEMA SERIES 2 AV RECEIVERS
All models in the new range feature a newly implemented 32-bit, eight-channel DAC, designed to provide simultaneous high-resolution conversion across every channel. Marantz says this approach improves timing accuracy and signal consistency while enhancing imaging and surround performance.
Dirac Live Room Correction is now available as an optional upgrade on additional models. The CINEMA 60 Series 2, CINEMA 60 DAB Series 2 and CINEMA 70s Series 2 now support the upgrade alongside the CINEMA 50 Series 2, which continues to offer compatibility with the wider Dirac ecosystem, including Bass Control and Active Room Treatment (ART).

NEW FEATURES AND CONNECTIVITY
Marantz has also added a number of software and connectivity enhancements across the range. A future firmware update will introduce Low-Latency Bluetooth LE Audio for compatible devices, while the updated HEOS platform is intended to provide a more responsive streaming experience and expanded multi-room functionality.
The receivers also include Web Control 2.0, allowing system setup and control from a smartphone, tablet or computer without relying on on-screen TV menus. HDMI Diagnostics 2.0 has been added for custom installation use, and a new Channel Level Monitoring feature provides a real-time view of speaker activity across all models.
MARANTZ CINEMA 50 SERIES 2 EXCLUSIVE FEATURES
The flagship CINEMA 50 Series 2 receives several additional features not available on the other models in the range. These include Dolby Atmos Channel Expander, which uses all available speakers when reproducing channel-based Dolby Atmos content, and a new Centre Bi-Amp Mode designed to improve dialogue performance.
MARANTZ CINEMA SERIES 2 FOR GAMING
The new receivers also introduce support for 1440p video pass-through and AMD FreeSync compatibility for supported PCs and gaming consoles. These additions complement the existing HDMI 2.1 capabilities already offered by the CINEMA range.

MODELS IN THE RANGE
The CINEMA 50 Series 2 offers nine channels of amplification with 11.4-channel processing and the broadest feature set in the lineup. The CINEMA 60 Series 2 and European CINEMA 60 DAB Series 2 incorporate the updated DAC architecture together with Dirac Live upgradeability and the latest connectivity features.
The slimline CINEMA 70s Series 2 is intended for installations where space is limited while retaining the updated DAC platform, enhanced streaming capabilities and the same next-generation connectivity found in the larger models. All receivers continue to include full-channel preamp outputs for use with external power amplifiers.
