Hegel H200 And Hegel A200 Integrated Amplifiers
HEGEL H200 AND A200 INTEGRATED AMPLIFIERS OFFER CONNECTED AND ANALOGUE LISTENING OPTIONS
Norwegian HiFi brand Hegel has announced two new integrated amplifiers, the Hegel H200 and Hegel A200, designed around the same 150W per channel Class A/B amplifier platform but aimed at different types of systems.
ANALOGUE OR DIGITAL, THE CHOICE IS YOURS
While the H200 combines analogue amplification with digital connectivity and streaming, the A200 is a fully analogue design intended for use with external source components. Both amplifiers feature Hegel’s SoundEngine2 technology, which is designed to reduce distortion in real time, along with a damping factor of more than 4000 and stability down to 2-ohm speaker loads.

HEGEL H200 BUILDS STREAMING AND DAC FUNCTIONALITY INTO A SINGLE UNIT
The Hegel H200 is designed as an all-in-one integrated amplifier, combining analogue amplification with an onboard DAC, streaming platform, Moving Magnet phono stage and headphone output. Alongside balanced XLR and RCA analogue inputs, it includes coaxial, optical, USB-B, USB-A and network digital inputs, with USB drive playback supporting libraries of up to 10,000 tracks. A coaxial digital output and DAC Loop function also allow the addition of an external DAC if required.
Streaming support includes Spotify Connect Lossless, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, Roon Ready, UPnP playback, internet radio and podcasts via the Hegel Control app. The amplifier also supports automatic firmware updates and can integrate with Control4, Crestron HOME and Crestron SIMPL smart home systems. Additional features include programmable input levels, TV remote learning, auto standby and configurable display brightness.

HEGEL A200 FOCUSES ON AN ANALOGUE SIGNAL PATH
The Hegel A200 uses the same amplifier platform as the H200 but omits all digital circuitry, leaving source selection entirely to the user. The amplifier provides two balanced XLR inputs, two RCA inputs, fixed and variable RCA outputs, a Moving Magnet phono stage and a headphone output. Hegel says the A200 is intended for systems built around external DACs, streamers, CD players, turntables or other analogue source components.
Like the H200, the A200 incorporates SoundEngine2 technology, 150W per channel into 8 ohms, support for speaker loads down to 2 ohms and a damping factor greater than 4000. It also includes practical features such as TV remote learning, adjustable input gain, startup and maximum volume settings, automatic standby and display dimming.

HEGEL H200 AND A200 SHARE A COMMON AMPLIFIER PLATFORM
Both integrated amplifiers use a 150W per channel Class A/B output stage, offer frequency response from 5Hz to 100kHz and provide Moving Magnet phono inputs derived from Hegel’s V10 phono stage. The H200 is available in black or white finishes, while the A200 is offered in black. According to Hegel, the H200 is scheduled to begin shipping in late August, with the A200 following in October.
HEGEL H200 PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
