EMOTIVA DR STACK BRINGS COMPACT SEPARATES TO THE UK
UK distributor Karma-AV has announced the arrival of the Emotiva DR Stack range in the UK.
The compact system is made up of matching 267mm-wide components designed to provide a fully balanced signal path in a space-saving format.
EMOTIVA DR STACK COMPACT SEPARATES
The Emotiva DR Stack range includes the DRP-1 preamplifier, DRA-1 power amplifier, DRD-1 DAC and DRS-1 streamer/DAC, allowing users to build a system to suit their requirements.
EMOTIVA DRP-1 PREAMPLIFIER FEATURES
The Emotiva DRP-1 Differential Reference preamplifier uses a fully balanced signal path with sealed relay switching and a resistor ladder volume control. It includes two pairs of RCA inputs, balanced XLR inputs and a phono input compatible with both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges. Outputs comprise RCA, balanced XLR and a summed XLR subwoofer output, while internal bass management at 80Hz is provided for subwoofer integration.
EMOTIVA DRA-1 POWER AMPLIFIER
The DRA-1 Differential Reference amplifier is based on a Hypex NCOREx design and delivers 100W per channel into 8 Ohms or 130W into 4 Ohms. It can also be bridged to provide 400W into 4 Ohms. Rear-panel connections include both RCA and balanced XLR inputs alongside five-way speaker binding posts. According to Emotiva, the amplifier offers a signal-to-noise ratio of more than 115dB and total harmonic distortion plus noise below 0.008%.
EMOTIVA DRD-1 DAC AND DRS-1 STREAMER
The DRD-1 DAC is built around the ESS ES9038Q2M SABRE32 Reference DAC and supports PCM sample rates up to 768kHz, DoP256 and Native DSD512 via its USB-C interface. It also includes HDMI ARC, balanced and unbalanced analogue outputs and selectable digital filters.
The DRS-1 streamer/DAC combines the same ESS DAC with a lifetime licence for the Volumio Premium platform. It supports Qobuz Connect, TIDAL Connect, Spotify Connect, internet radio and playback from local storage or network drives. Music can also be streamed over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, while Volumio enables synchronised playback across up to six rooms or devices. Connectivity includes balanced XLR and RCA outputs, coaxial and optical digital outputs, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, twin USB-A ports and HDMI output for displaying the user interface or playback information on a TV or monitor.
EMOTIVA DR STACK DESIGN AND CONNECTIVITY
All DR Stack components share matching steel chassis, black anodised aluminium front panels and dimmable blue OLED displays. Each unit is fitted with 12V trigger inputs and outputs, while the DRD-1 DAC and DRP-1 preamplifier are supplied with matching full-function metal remote controls.

The Emotiva DR Stack range is scheduled to be available from August 2026.
