NETWORK ACOUSTICS MUON2 PRECISION NETWORK SWITCH REVEALED
British streaming audio brand Network Acoustics has announced the launch of the Network Acoustics Muon2 Precision Network Switch, the first product in the company’s new Muon2 reference range.
Designed and hand-built in the UK, the Network Acoustics Muon2 Precision Network Switch is aimed at users of high-end streaming audio systems and follows the company’s earlier Tempus model.
According to Network Acoustics, the Muon2 has been developed over seven years with a focus on reducing electrical noise, improving timing accuracy, and controlling vibration within network-based audio playback systems.

The Muon2 Precision Network Switch uses a single-chassis architecture intended to separate signal and power domains. At its core is a newly developed hybrid power supply, combining switch-mode and linear power supply approaches. Network Acoustics says this design is intended to create a quieter electrical environment for streamed audio playback.
The unit also incorporates an ultra-low-jitter clock and includes connectivity options covering 5 x 10Mb–2.5Gb LAN ports alongside a 10Gb SFP+ port. A dedicated grounding connection is also provided for use with external grounding devices.
CABINET AND ISOLATION
One of the more unusual aspects of the Muon2 is its solid beechwood enclosure, produced in partnership with Austrian loudspeaker manufacturer AUER Acoustics. Network Acoustics says the material was selected following extensive testing for its damping characteristics and neutrality.
The switch is also fitted with newly developed Pyramid Isolators, machined from hardened silicate minerals and designed to reduce the transfer of vibration into the chassis.
NETWORK ACOUSTICS AT HIGH END VIENNA 2026
Network Acoustics has confirmed that the Muon2 range, including the Muon2 Ethernet Filter and Streaming Cable, will be demonstrated publicly at HIGH END 2026, taking place at the Austria Center Vienna from 4th to 7th June 2026.
Demonstrations will take place in collaboration with Ideon Audio, Brodmann Acoustics and AUER Acoustics, with company founders Rich Trussell and Rob Osbourn attending throughout the event.
