Armour Home Electronics has announced the appointment of Charlie Henderson as Managing Director with immediate effect.

The move forms part of a longer-term succession plan for the UK-based audio company, which oversees brands including Q Acoustics, QED and Goldring. Henderson will take responsibility for day-to-day operations, commercial strategy and international development across the group’s portfolio.

As part of the leadership transition, George Dexter, who has led Armour Home for the past two decades, will move into the role of Chairman. In this position, he will continue to provide strategic oversight and support the company’s direction while stepping back from operational management.

CHARLIE HENDERSON’S INDUSTRY BACKGROUND

Henderson brings experience from across the consumer audio sector, having previously held senior roles at Cambridge Audio and Naim Audio. His background includes marketing and executive leadership positions within music-focused and consumer-facing audio businesses.

STRATEGIC DIRECTION FOR Q ACOUSTICS, QED AND GOLDRING

Under Henderson’s leadership, Armour Home is expected to focus on brand development, product innovation and expanding its international presence. The company has also indicated an intention to strengthen connections between its brands and the wider music community, alongside ongoing work in established HiFi markets.

The company describes the appointment as part of a structured succession plan aimed at maintaining continuity while preparing for future growth. Dexter will remain closely involved in guiding the business at board level, working alongside Henderson as the company moves into its next phase.

Q ACOUSTICS, QED AND GOLDRING PRODUCT PLANS

Armour Home has confirmed that Q Acoustics, QED and Goldring are all scheduled to introduce new products across 2026 and into early 2027, building on their existing ranges.

This leadership change signals a new stage for Armour Home as it continues to develop its portfolio of HiFi brands in both domestic and international markets.
