KLIPSCH X OJAS KO-R2 LAUNCH WITH DEVON TURNBULL AT MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2026
HiFi PiG’s Stu and Lin were recently on holiday in Italy, coincidentally at the same time as Devon Turnbull and Klipsch were launching their latest loudspeaker collaboration, the Klipsch X OJAS kO-R2.
Being in Milan at the start of Milan Design Week 2026, we were invited to a private listening session on the Sunday afternoon in the beautiful surroundings of the Fondazione Luigi Rovati.

The setting was spectacular, and while most of the foundation’s garden area was taken up with an art installation by USM Modular Furniture, we were there to take a listen to the latest creation by Devon Turnbull and Klipsch, the Klipsch X OJAS kO-R2 Loudspeaker.
The set up was very cool indeed, with the utilitarian design of the speakers enhanced with bespoke seating and acoustic panels in Devon’s signature grey tones. This worked beautifully with the grand wooden panelled listening room in the Fondazione Luigi Rovati, in the heart of Milan.
The system featured Accuphase electronics and Technics SL-1210G turntable, all sat on USM furniture.
Notably, the installation was attracting a younger crowd, who were interested in finding out more about how the speakers worked. Devon is a fab ambassador for HiFi, taking care to explain details to an audience who were not typical audiophiles. It was really inspiring to find HiFi at the heart of Milan Design Week, with a new audience being exposed to high quality sound. We very much enjoyed the sound and the relaxed atmosphere of the listening room, the speakers sounding great wherever in the space you were sat.
The collaboration between Klipsch and Devon Turnbull, continues a partnership focused on combining traditional horn-loaded loudspeaker principles with contemporary design approaches.
The Klipsch X OJAS kO-R2 is a two-way, horn-loaded loudspeaker, built by hand in Hope, Arkansas. It features a Baltic birch cabinet and an Ojas-designed multisectoral horn constructed from cast aluminium with a black powder-coated finish. The system also includes a compression driver, anodised aluminium binding posts, and integrated vibration-damping feet.
A key element of the design is the Ojas 1506 multisectoral horn, which draws on historic loudspeaker concepts, including elements associated with Western Electric and Altec designs. The geometry combines multiple horn sections into a square and trapezoidal layout intended to provide consistent sound dispersion across horizontal and vertical planes.
The kO-R2 incorporates a five-step high-frequency gain attenuator, allowing users to adjust output levels to suit room conditions and system matching. A laser-engraved identification plate completes the design.
Production of the kO-R2 will be limited to 600 pairs worldwide. Buyers will be able to choose between Red Oak veneer or a Hammertone Silver finish, both paired with a matte-black horn. The new model will officially launch in June 2026, following this preview. Regional price info to follow, in the UK Klipsch is distributed by Henley Audio.
