NAD C 589 CD Player
NAD C 589 CD PLAYER ANNOUNCED
NAD Electronics has announced the NAD C 589 CD Player, a new addition to its Classic Series designed as a dedicated source component for compact disc playback.
The unit is positioned as a standalone CD player aimed at users who continue to integrate physical media into contemporary HiFi systems.

NAD C 589 CD PLAYER
The NAD C 589 CD Player incorporates QRONO d2a digital processing, a technology developed by MQA Labs. This system is intended to improve timing accuracy and digital signal reconstruction during the conversion from digital to analogue. According to the manufacturer, this contributes to more precise playback of recorded detail and transient information.
TRANSPORT AND DAC DESIGN
The player features a precision disc transport and loader mechanism designed for stable and quiet operation. NAD states that the system is engineered to maintain consistent playback across a range of discs, including older or heavily used media.
Internally, the unit includes a dedicated digital-to-analogue conversion stage aimed at maintaining low noise and distortion while preserving detail in recordings.

CONNECTIVITY
Connectivity options on the NAD C 589 CD Player include both analogue and digital outputs. Balanced XLR and RCA analogue outputs allow direct connection to amplifiers or preamplifiers. Digital outputs include AES/EBU, coaxial, and optical connections, enabling use as a CD transport with an external DAC if required.
NAD C 589 CD PLAYER USABILITY FEATURES
The player is equipped with a front-panel display that supports CD Text, providing track and artist information where available. A supplied remote control allows users to manage playback functions from a listening position. The overall design focuses on straightforward operation alongside integration into existing HiFi setups.

NAD C 589 CD PLAYER PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
The NAD C 589 CD Player is expected to be available through authorised retailers worldwide. Suggested retail pricing is €1599, £1199, $1,399 and $1999 CAD.
