GRADO LABS MARKS AUTISM AWARENESS WITH ONE-OFF HEADPHONE AUCTION SUPPORTING EDEN II PROGRAMS
Grado Labs has announced a one-of-a-kind headphone created to support autism awareness, with all proceeds going to Eden II Programs.
The Brooklyn-based manufacturer has a long history of producing limited and special edition designs, but this release is notable as a single, unique unit rather than a production run.
GRADO LABS SIGNATURE S550 AUTISM AWARENESS HEADPHONE DESIGN AND ORIGIN
The headphone is based on the company’s Signature S550 model and features a customised housing with hand-painted artwork. The design incorporates puzzle piece motifs created by Juliana, a long-standing participant in Eden II’s programmes. The artwork was completed as part of a collaboration supported by staff at the organisation.
Juliana has been part of the Eden II community for over two decades, progressing from its preschool programme through to its adult day services. Her contribution to the headphone’s design reflects both her personal development and the ongoing support provided by the organisation.
EDEN II PROGRAMS AND LONG-TERM PARTNERSHIP
Eden II Programs, based in Staten Island, provides education, residential care, and community services for individuals with autism across New York City and Long Island. The organisation, founded in 1976, is currently marking its 50th anniversary. Grado Labs has supported Eden II for nearly 30 years, with Richard Grado having held roles including Board Chair during that time.

The single unit will be sold via an online auction hosted on the Eden II website. Bidding is open until 30 April at 5:00 PM, with the highest bidder securing ownership. Proceeds from the sale will be directed entirely towards supporting Eden II’s services and programmes.
