VANDERSTEEN AUDIO QUATRO WOOD CT EVO LOUDSPEAKERS LAUNCH FOLLOWING AXPONA 2025 DEBUT
Vandersteen Audio has officially released its new Vandersteen Quatro Wood CT Evo floorstanding loudspeakers, following their debut at AXPONA 2025.
This updated model refines the well-regarded Quatro Wood CT platform with improved usability and features adapted from the brand’s top-tier models.
VANDERSTEEN QUATRO WOOD CT EVO
The Vandersteen Quatro Wood CT Evo is designed for straightforward integration into a wide range of HiFi systems. Despite its inclusion of a powered subwoofer section, the speaker requires no external crossover. A bi-wire connection from any suitably powered amplifier is all that’s needed, offering an easy upgrade path for owners of Vandersteen’s Treo, Quatro Cloth, or original Quatro Wood loudspeakers.

CARBON TWEETER FROM MODEL 5A CARBON
A key component of the Vandersteen Quatro Wood CT Evo is its Carbon Tweeter, originally developed for the flagship Model 5A Carbon. This tweeter is engineered to deliver high-frequency detail and resolution, extending the Evo’s performance into the upper registers with clarity and control, say Vandersteen.
ADVANCED MIDRANGE DRIVER TECHNOLOGY
At the heart of the midband is Vandersteen’s patented 4.5-inch Reflection-Free midrange driver. This component reduces rearward reflections, helping to maintain a clean and uncoloured sound. The result is greater intelligibility and improved midrange definition—essential for vocal and acoustic detail.
POWERED SUBWOOFER SECTION WITH ROOM EQ
Each speaker in the Quatro Wood CT Evo pair includes two 8-inch side-firing CounterForce subwoofers, powered by internal amplifiers. The built-in subwoofer system also features an 11-band EQ, allowing users or dealers to fine-tune bass performance to suit individual room acoustics. This approach offers low-end control without the need for outboard processing.
True to Vandersteen’s longstanding design principles, the Quatro Wood CT Evo maintains both time and phase alignment across its drivers.
