Marvin Gaye – What’s Going On (Soul, 1971)
Another all-time classic, this time from the soul genre and Marvin Gaye’s Eleventh album released in 1971. Many will know at least one or two of the tunes on this record, but as a whole the release is a concept album that tells the story of a Vietnam veteran returning to his homeland, where he was heartbroken to see hatred, suffering, and injustice.
