NEW SONY NW-A306 WALKMAN LAUNCHED

Sony unveils a new Walkman with enhanced sound quality, longer battery life and a lower price tag.

Sony has introduced a new music player, the Sony NW-A306 Walkman, to the Walkman family.

The Sony NW-A306 is designed to be a stylish and compact music player with full Wi-Fi compatibility, a weight of just 113 grams plus the comfort and function of both a 3.6” (9.14cm) touch screen and tactile physical music controls. It has a premium aluminium milled frame designed for rigidity and low impedance.

S-MASTER HX DIGITAL AMP TECHNOLOGY

The Sony NW-A306 Walkman features S-Master HX digital amp technology, independently developed for Walkman and compatible with the native DSD format. Just like the latest Signature Walkman model, the NW-A306 is constructed using a reflow solder containing gold. It also uses a dual clock and film capacitors.

DSEE ULTIMATE

The NW-A306 uses Edge-AI (Artificial Intelligence), DSEE Ultimate (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine) which is designed to accurately upscale compressed digital music files to higher quality. Sony says that the evolving algorithm now delivers even greater benefits for CD-quality (16 bit 44.1/48kHz) lossless codec audio. Listeners can enjoy DSEE Ultimate for upscaling music, whether it is Wi-Fi streamed or downloaded. Plus DSEE Ultimate can also be enjoyed with wireless headphones.

SUSTAINABILITY

Sony say that their products are not only designed to be stylish but also with the environment in mind. No plastic is used in the packaging material for the NW-A306, reflecting Sony’s commitment to reducing the environmental impact of their products and practices.
