Tannoy Centenary Limited Edition Loudspeakers At High End Vienna 2026
TANNOY CENTENARY LIMITED-EDITIONS TO DEBUT AT HIGH END VIENNA 2026
Tannoy will use HIGH END Vienna 2026 to unveil a series of limited-edition loudspeakers marking the company’s 100th anniversary.
The announcements form part of a three-year centenary programme for the long-established British loudspeaker manufacturer, founded in London in 1926.
TANNOY WESTMINSTER ROYAL GR AND CANTERBURY GR LIMITED EDITIONS
The first anniversary models are based on Tannoy’s Prestige Gold Reference Series and include upgraded crossovers and revised internal cabling. Production numbers have been deliberately restricted to reflect the company’s founding year, with 19 pairs of the Westminster Royal GR and 26 pairs of the Canterbury GR scheduled for manufacture.
Tannoy says additional anniversary models are expected to be announced later this year. Full specifications, pricing and product imagery will follow closer to launch.
WESTMINSTER ROYAL GR DEMOS IN VIENNA 2026
Visitors to High End Vienna 2026 will also be able to hear the £55,000 Tannoy Westminster Royal GR in a dedicated demonstration system, off site at the Vienna Sound Fest show. The large-format loudspeaker uses Tannoy’s long-running Dual Concentric driver technology in a two-way horn-loaded design built around a 15-inch driver.
Technical features include Alnico magnets, PepperPot WaveGuide technology and aluminium-magnesium alloy diaphragms. The cabinet is constructed from birch ply with internal bracing and finished in walnut veneer with burr walnut detailing. Tannoy quotes a sensitivity of 99dB and bass extension down to 18Hz.
ESOTERIC AND MONTAUDIO PARTNER WITH TANNOY AT VIENNA SOUND FEST SHOW
The Westminster Royal GR system at the show will be partnered with electronics from Esoteric and cabling from Montaudio for the demonstrations.
