TAD LABS INTRODUCES TAD-C1000 PREAMPLIFIER

Technical Audio Devices Laboratories, or TAD Labs as they are known, the Japanese audio company, has unveiled the TAD LabsTAD-C1000 preamplifier, the latest in their Evolution Series.

TAD EVOLUTION SERIES

This preamplifier, like its counterparts in the Evolution Series, incorporates the same design aesthetics, such as the TAD-D1000TX disc player, TAD-DA1000TX DAC, and TAD-M1000 power amplifier. The TAD-C1000 is designed to enhance signal amplification while preserving accuracy and purity in signal processing, transmission, and output amplification.

TAD LABS TAD-C1000 PREAMPLIFIER KEY FEATURES

TAD Labs has integrated an advanced single-stage, current-feedback amplifier, dervived from the M700 power amplifier, into the C1000 preamplifier. This integration utilizes matched pairs of FET devices, chosen for signal equilibrium and stability.

VOLUME CONTROL

The centrally positioned volume knob has refined aesthetics and smooth rotation through high-precision ball bearings, adhering to the Evolution Series’ symmetrical design. The custom electronic volume control circuit employs ladder-resistance switching for precise attenuation with minimal distortion.

The audio circuit patterns and components on the chassis’ underside are symmetrically arranged, minimizing signal imbalances and extending to power transformer placement, chassis build, and rear-panel jacks.

CHASSIS

The robust C1000 chassis, supported by signature spike-shaped feet, prevents external vibrations from affecting internal circuits, aided by brass bases beneath power transformers. The power circuit features dedicated toroidal transformers power audio and control circuits, maintaining signal symmetry.

The power circuit uses TAD’s custom electrolytic smoothing capacitors and low-distortion film coupling capacitors, designed to enhance the low-frequency range.
