Three Wireless Models At Different Prices

Sony has refreshed its wireless headphone range with three models aimed at different budgets. The line begins with the on-ear WH-CH530, moves up to the noise-cancelling WH-CH730N and finishes with the premium WH-1000XM4C.

All three can be adjusted through Sony software, including equaliser settings that change the balance of bass, midrange and treble. The more expensive models add stronger noise-control features and over-ear designs that surround the ear rather than resting on it.

WH-1000XM4C Brings Back A Familiar Design

The WH-1000XM4C is based on Sony’s popular WH-1000XM4. It retains the folding over-ear design and 1000X-series noise cancelling, but adds revised sound tuning, a 10-band equaliser and a new Lavender colour alongside Black and Platinum Silver.

Sony quotes up to 27 hours of battery life. The headphones support multipoint connection, which allows them to remain paired with two devices and switch between them when required.

WH-CH730N Adds Noise Cancelling For Less

The £100 WH-CH730N is an over-ear model with Dual Noise Sensor noise cancelling and an ambient mode that lets more outside sound through. It weighs 207g and folds for carrying.

Battery life is claimed at up to 50 hours with noise cancelling switched on. A three-minute quick charge is said to provide one hour of playback. Multipoint, LE Audio and fast-pairing features are also included.

WH-CH530 Starts At £50

The WH-CH530 is a lightweight on-ear model without active noise cancelling. Sony claims up to 55 hours of playback, with a three-minute charge providing around 90 minutes of listening.

The headphones include multipoint, LE Audio and a five-step maximum-volume control. Six finishes are available: Black, Cobalt, White, Pink, Coral and Mint.

Price And Availability

The WH-CH530 costs approximately £50 or €49. WH-CH730N is priced at £100 or €119, while WH-1000XM4C costs £219 or €279. Sony says all three models will be available during this month.
