People queuing up to get into the Bristol Hifi Show well before the doors open can only be a good sign for the industry. Overall this year’s show seemed very busy, with a good mix of singles and couples in attendance. We’ll walk you through the show in the next few days with loads of photos and a few thoughts of what we heard.

The North West Audio Show, or Cranage, as it is affectionately named after its location, has been growing steadily over the past few years.  From a bijou show with mainly local dealers and distributors to a major event on the international calendar. 2018 was the year when it all came together.  With exhibitors now flying in from as far away as Hong Kong and Israel, it had a truly cosmopolitan feeling. Turntables were absolutely everywhere at this year’s Munich High-End and so here are some of the ones that stood out on our travels around the show…with a handful from Audio-Deluxe thrown in for good measure. We have no way of seeing everything at the shoa nd know we will have missed a good proportion but hope you enjoy all these lovely turntables.  More »

As well as the many rooms at Bristol Sound and Vision there are also plenty of static stands and displays, many giving visitors the chance to try out headfi gear, see interesting demos and get their hands on the newest offerings from many brands.  Here’s our round up on what there was to see and play with, mainly in The Bristol Suite and the corridors of the show.  More »

This year’s Bristol Show was fantastic.  Apart from having an injured husband (back attacked by a very heavy valve amplifier) it was absolutely brilliant.  There was a real buzz about the show, with, it seemed, a younger audience and lots of couples….and generally very busy Friday and Saturday.  I only popped in on Sunday when it was a little quieter but that was quite early on. Although it does come over as a very ‘Hifi Industry’ Show there were loads of public in attendance, queuing round the block to get in. More »
