PS AUDIO PMG SIGNATURE SERIES S400 AND S200 STEREO POWER AMPLIFIERS RELEASED
PS Audio has announced that its new PS Audio PMG Signature Series S400 and S200 stereo power amplifiers are now shipping.
Designed from the ground up by Darren Myers and engineered by Bob Stadherr, both models are single-chassis stereo power amplifiers intended for high-performance two-channel audio systems. They join the PS Audio PMG Signature series, created in 2025 to celebrate the American HiFi brand’s 50th anniversary.
PS AUDIO PMG SIGNATURE SERIES S400 AND S200 DESIGN
The two amplifiers differ primarily in output power, with the S400 delivering 400 watts into 4 ohms and the S200 providing 200 watts into 4 ohms. Both designs operate in pure Class A bias for their initial output, with the S400 running in Class A for the first five watts and the S200 for the first ten watts. According to PS Audio, this is intended to optimise performance during the lower power levels where much music listening takes place.
AMPLIFIER TECHNOLOGY
Both models feature an active power supply architecture rather than a conventional transformer-based design. PS Audio says this approach is intended to provide cleaner power delivery and improved current availability when required.
The amplifiers also employ very low negative feedback and offer bandwidth extending beyond 500kHz, with a slew rate exceeding 200V/µS. The S400 houses two complete PMG Signature amplifier channels within a single chassis, while the S200 uses a design intended to minimise crosstalk between its left and right channels.

The S400 and S200 are equipped with balanced and single-ended inputs, dual speaker outputs to support bi-wiring, left and right subwoofer outputs, and a 12-volt trigger input for integration with custom installation and home theatre systems.
Both models are available in either black or silver finishes. The S400 weighs 57.2lbs, while the S200 weighs 56.2lbs. Each measures 16.75 inches deep, 17.5 inches wide and 8.75 inches high.

US retail prices are $9,999 for the S400 and $7,999 for the S200. UK and European pricing has not been announced.
