In response to the continued interest in vinyl records as a medium for immersive music listening, Pro-Ject unveiled the T2 W Wi-Fi Turntable. Departing from traditional wired options, the T2 W incorporates advanced wireless technology to offer vinyl enthusiasts an innovative way to experience their vinyl records.
SUMIKO RAINIER MM CARTRIDGE
Building upon the T1 turntable design, the T2 W has an enhanced T-Line turntable design with a robust wood plinth and a glass platter. The improved 9” aluminium tonearm is equipped with a spring-loaded anti-skate dial for precise playback. The T2 W comes pre-fitted with the Sumiko Rainier moving magnet cartridge and includes a built-in MM phono stage for traditional analogue connections to HiFi systems.
WIFI
The standout feature of the T2 W is its integration of Wi-Fi connectivity, adhering to the latest industry standards. With the introduction of the “Pro-Ject Control” App, users can seamlessly direct their vinyl music throughout their homes. This Wi-Fi enabled turntable is compatible with most UPnP-enabled devices, including Smart TVs, AV Receivers, and streaming audio systems, ensuring a flexible and high-quality playback experience.
Featuring advanced WLAN standards and 2×2 MIMO for superior transmission speed and reliability, the T2 W employs a multi-core CPU to manage its advanced streaming technology. It accommodates lossless compression up to 24-bit, 48kHz and offers a lossy transmission option for wider device compatibility. The T2 W’s multi-room capabilities enable simultaneous audio streaming to various zones without compromising quality, says Pro-Ject.
BELT DRIVE
The turntable’s core construction is designed for stability, with a CNC-machined plinth available in Gloss Black, Satin White, or Walnut finishes. The belt drive system, incorporating a precision-speed AC motor, drives the glass platter through the T-Line sub-platter for vibration-free playback.
9” TONEARM
The 9” tonearm is equipped with an improved low-friction gimbal bearing assembly and a spring-loaded anti-skate mechanism for precision. The Sumiko Rainier cartridge is included. Plus, the T2 W incorporates a built-in dual-stage, split-passive moving magnet phono pre-amplifier, ensuring high-fidelity stereo sound.
DUST COVER
The T2 W arrives with a removable dust cover, felt mat, and a premium Connect it E Phono RCA cable. In addition to Wi-Fi connectivity, the turntable can be networked via an ethernet port.
