PRO-JECT HARLEY-DAVIDSON TURNTABLE BRINGS MOTORCYCLE-INSPIRED DESIGN TO VINYL
Pro-Ject and Harley-Davidson have teamed up on a special-edition turntable inspired by the motorcycle manufacturer’s heritage.
The Pro-Ject Harley-Davidson Turntable takes its visual cues from the Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield logo, with a sculpted plinth combined with polished aluminium, stainless steel and a genuine leather platter mat. The turntable is now available to order in the UK through distributor Henley Audio’s dealer network.
PRO-JECT HARLEY-DAVIDSON TURNTABLE
The turntable uses an Alu-MDF sandwich chassis with a precision-milled aluminium top surface. Its drive system comprises a diamond-cut aluminium sub-platter, a 300mm glass main platter and a 915g Harley-Davidson record puck, giving a total moving drive mass of 2.75kg. The belt-drive system uses a synchronous AC motor powered by a precision DC/AC generator, with electronic switching between 33 and 45rpm.
TONEARM AND CARTRIDGE
The Pro-Ject Harley-Davidson Turntable is fitted with an 8.6-inch S-shaped aluminium tonearm featuring an SME headshell, TPE-damped counterweight and gravity-based adaptive anti-skating. The aluminium components are hand-polished, while the tonearm uses precision bearing construction. A factory pre-adjusted Pro-Ject Pick it PRO moving-magnet cartridge is included, with the design also allowing for future cartridge upgrades.
PRO-JECT HARLEY-DAVIDSON TURNTABLE INCLUDES LEATHER MAT
A genuine leather mat sits between the record and glass platter, while height-adjustable aluminium feet with TPE damping are used to isolate and level the turntable. The package also includes a semi-balanced phono cable and a 5P DIN output. A dust cover is available separately. The turntable is handmade in Europe.
DESIGN AND DIMENSIONS
The Pro-Ject Harley-Davidson Turntable measures 543 x 124 x 437mm (W x H x D) and uses a universal 15V DC / 800mA power supply. Its design is based around the Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield-inspired plinth, with the combination of aluminium, stainless steel and leather providing the principal visual connection to the motorcycle brand.
