Marantz MCR 60n Compact All-In-One HiFi System
MARANTZ MCR 60N COMPACT ALL-IN-ONE HIFI SYSTEM INTRODUCED
Marantz has announced the Marantz MCR 60n and MCR 60n DAB, a new generation of compact all-in-one HiFi systems combining CD playback, network streaming, HDMI eARC, turntable connectivity and amplification in a single chassis.
The Marantz MCR 60n DAB is intended for European markets and adds DAB radio.
MARANTZ MCR 60N COMPACT ALL-IN-ONE HIFI SYSTEM
The MCR 60n uses a new power supply designed to provide greater current capability and amplifier headroom than previous models. Output is rated at 65W per channel into 4 ohms. The four-channel amplification section supports Bi-Amp and Parallel Bridge-Tied Load (BTL) configurations, as well as dual speaker outputs. These can be used to optimise the system for different loudspeakers or to power two independent listening zones.
CONNECTIVITY AND SOURCES
HDMI eARC provides stereo playback from a compatible television, with HDMI-CEC volume control and Dolby Digital/Dolby Digital Plus decoding. A built-in MM phono stage allows direct connection of a turntable, while the front-loading CD mechanism provides playback of physical discs.
The MCR 60n also supports network playback of PCM files up to 384kHz/32-bit and DSD up to 11.2MHz. Connectivity includes Ethernet, USB, optical digital input and variable audio outputs, allowing the unit to be used as a streaming preamplifier with active loudspeakers or alongside existing HiFi equipment.
MARANTZ MCR 60N STREAMING
The system uses the latest generation of the HEOS networking platform for access to streaming services, internet radio and multi-room audio. Spotify, TIDAL and Qobuz Connect are supported alongside AirPlay 2 and Roon. Four Smart Select presets can be configured to recall sources, listening modes and volume settings from the remote control.
Bluetooth supports both receiving and transmitting, allowing music to be streamed from a mobile device or audio to be sent to compatible wireless headphones.
ROOM CORRECTION AND SYSTEM SET-UP
The MCR 60n features a configurable subwoofer output with adjustable crossover settings. Dirac Live Room Correction is also available as an optional upgrade for stereo playback, allowing users to calibrate the system to their listening environment.
The rear panel has been redesigned to simplify installation, while the system is available in Matte Black and, outside North America, Marantz Champagne Gold. The MCR 60n DAB includes a DAB tuner for European markets.
MARANTZ MCR 60N PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
The Marantz MCR 60n and MCR 60n DAB will be available from authorised Marantz retailers and Marantz.com from 15 September 2026. The MCR 60n is priced at $1,000, while the MCR 60n DAB is priced at €900 / £800. The Matte Black finish is available globally, while Marantz Champagne Gold is not available in North America.
HiFi PiG says: The MCR 60n looks like a useful evolution of the compact all-in-one concept, bringing CD, vinyl, streaming and TV connectivity together without requiring a rack full of components. The inclusion of four-channel amplification, optional Dirac Live and Bluetooth transmission also gives it rather more flexibility than many systems in this category.
