Klipsch Reference Signature Series Loudspeakers And Klipsch RP-500PM Powered Monitor
KLIPSCH REFERENCE SIGNATURE SERIES AND RP-500PM POWERED MONITOR DEBUT AT CEDIA 2026
Klipsch has announced two new additions to its loudspeaker line-up at CEDIA Expo 2026 in Denver: the Klipsch Reference Signature Series and the Klipsch RP-500PM Powered Monitor.
The Klipsch Reference Signature Series is being demonstrated ahead of its global launch this winter, while the RP-500PM is described as the first powered monitor in the Klipsch Reference Premiere Series.

KLIPSCH REFERENCE SIGNATURE SERIES INCLUDES SIX MODELS
The new Klipsch Reference Signature Series comprises six models: the RS-8301F and RS-6301F floorstanding loudspeakers, RS-8301M and RS-6301M monitors, RS-6301C centre-channel speaker and RS-6101SA Dolby Atmos surround/height module. The floorstanding, monitor and centre-channel models use dedicated high-frequency, midrange and low-frequency drivers in a three-way configuration.

THREE-WAY HORN-LOADED DESIGN
All models in the Reference Signature Series use Klipsch’s horn-loaded acoustic architecture and titanium-diaphragm Linear Travel Suspension tweeters. The series also introduces a phase-aligned horn design, positioning the midrange within the tweeter horn so that the two frequency ranges radiate from the same acoustic centre. According to the company, eight-inch models combine 8-inch low-frequency drivers with 6.5-inch midrange units, while the six-inch models use 6.5-inch low-frequency drivers and 5.25-inch midrange units.
DRIVER AND CABINET DETAILS
Floorstanding models and the centre channel use dual low-frequency drivers, while the monitors and surround speakers have a single low-frequency driver. The range also uses spun-copper Cerametallic cones. The RS-6301C centre speaker has a vertical driver array intended to address horizontal lobing and comb filtering associated with conventional MTM layouts.
KLIPSCH REFERENCE SIGNATURE RS-6101SA OFFERS FLEXIBLE PLACEMENT
The two-way RS-6101SA can be used for Dolby Atmos elevation, height or rear-surround duties. When placed on compatible Reference Signature speakers, its angled horn-loaded driver array is designed to fire sound towards the ceiling for reflected overhead effects. When wall-mounted, it can be used as a surround speaker, while a switchable crossover provides separate Atmos and Surround modes.
UPDATED MATERIALS AND FINISHES
The Reference Signature Series features a one-piece BMC front baffle and curved cabinet edges. Ebony and Walnut finishes use horizontal grain patterns following the cabinet shape, with a decorative leather top panel on the cabinets. The range also includes metal carpet spikes and rubber feet, while select models feature adjustable tweeter levels of +1dB, 0dB and -1dB, plus dual binding posts for bi-wire and bi-amp configurations.
KLIPSCH RP-500PM BRINGS POWERED DESIGN TO REFERENCE PREMIERE
Alongside the new Reference Signature Series, Klipsch has introduced the RP-500PM Powered Monitor, the first powered monitor in its Reference Premiere Series. The compact active speaker system uses a new high-density axial Tractrix horn tweeter, upgraded BMC material and a 5.25-inch Cerametallic woofer. Built-in amplification is matched to the individual drivers, removing the need for an external receiver.
The RP-500PM includes HDMI ARC, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, optical, RCA line-level, phono and 3.5mm auxiliary inputs. A subwoofer output is also provided for adding a subwoofer. An IR remote handles volume, play/pause and input switching.
The RP-500PM uses the black-and-copper styling associated with the Reference Premiere range, including a floating cloth grille, textured wood-grain cabinet, copper woofer and matching trim ring. It is also compatible with Klipsch’s KS-28 stand.
KLIPSCH REFERENCE SIGNATURE SERIES AND RP-500PM PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
The Klipsch Reference Signature Series is targeting manufacturer’s suggested retail pricing of between $1,600 and $3,000 per pair, with select models due to become available this winter; final pricing and complete specifications will be announced at launch. The Klipsch RP-500PM will be available in December in North America, with an MSRP of $799.99.
In the UK, Henley Audio distributes Klipsch. The UK SRP for RP-500PM will be £799 and information on UK pricing and UK availability for the Klipsch Reference Signature Series will follow from Henley.
HiFi PiG says: Klipsch is using CEDIA 2026 to preview two rather different approaches to loudspeaker design, with the new Reference Signature Series aimed at traditional separate-speaker systems and the RP-500PM offering an all-in-one powered alternative.
