HIGHRESAUDIO IOS STREAMING APP LAUNCHED FOR HIGH-RESOLUTION MUSIC STREAMING
German music streaming and download platform HIGHRESAUDIO has launched a native iOS streaming app for iPhone and iPad users.
The new HIGHRESAUDIO iOS Streaming App is designed for subscribers to the company’s high-resolution music streaming service and provides access to the platform’s catalogue of 24bit music releases.

HIGHRESAUDIO, founded in 2010, has licensing agreements with major record companies, independent labels and aggregators. The company focuses exclusively on high-resolution audio downloads and streaming for music listeners and HiFi enthusiasts.

The app includes access to the full HIGHRESAUDIO music archive, curated playlists, editorial recommendations and digital PDF booklets. Users can also create and edit playlists, browse new releases and explore genre-based or themed playlists.
Wireless streaming support includes AirPlay 2, DLNA/UPnP and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing playback through compatible devices and systems. The app also supports the company’s HRA-VirtualVault service, enabling users to stream previously purchased HIGHRESAUDIO downloads from their personal cloud locker.

PERSONAL USER PROFILE MODE
A Personal User-Profile feature, referred to as Genre-Mode, allows listeners to customise recommendations and content based on selected genres, moods and artists. According to HIGHRESAUDIO, the settings can be altered or disabled at any time through the app and account settings.
The company also states that customers without a streaming subscription can still use the app to access music they have previously purchased through the HRA-VirtualVault system.
HIGHRESAUDIO STREAMING PLATFORM DETAILS
HIGHRESAUDIO says its streaming service does not apply loudness normalisation, adaptive streaming or on-the-fly downsampling, with playback delivered in the original available format. The company notes that content delivery is handled through the Akamai Cloud network.
The streaming platform is also integrated with a number of HiFi manufacturers and streaming devices, with compatibility information available through the HIGHRESAUDIO website.

The HIGHRESAUDIO Streaming iOS App will be available in early June through Apple’s App Store and is included free with a streaming subscription. Subscription options listed in the include a 7-day free trial, a six-month HRA-Streaming plan at 79,00 EUR / 69,00 GBP, a 12-month HRA-Streaming plan at 149,00 EUR / 129,00 GBP, and a 12-month HRA-Streaming + Downloads package at 199,00 EUR / 169,00 GBP.
