Heretic AD612 Loudspeakers

The Heretic AD612 is inspired by the Altec 612 Utility cabinet. They are a two-way, ductless, high sensitivity, coaxial monitor, designed and built in Canada.
HERETIC AD612 LOUDSPEAKERS
Robert Gaboury the owner and designer of heretic Loudspeakers told us: “We kept the basic shape and proportions of the Altec design, but re-tuned and re-engineered for our own 12 in. coaxial drive unit, with ferrite magnetics on woofer and Neo 1 in. compression driver“.
CROSSOVER
The crossover is a serial type Linkwitz-Riley second order crossover that took over two years for Robert and his team to fine tune. The speakers are designed to be room friendly and work with it, with close to wall placement advised.
SENSITIVITY
Heretic loudspeakers are engineered to work with all amplifiers, including high quality, low power, tube or valve amplifiers, the Heretic AD612 has a sensitivity of 97 dB @ 2,83V @ 1 M; 35 to 23000Hz (typical in-room 30 to 20kHz).
CABINETS
The cabinet is made from FSC-certified 12-ply premium birch plywood and is hand finished and hand polished using Allback linseed oil/beeswax that contains no solvent. Stock colours are White Bleached, Natural, Brown and Black. There are also options for over twenty custom colours.
