Esoteric F-Series Black Edition
ESOTERIC F-SERIES BLACK EDITION INTEGRATED AMPLIFIERS LAUNCH WITH F-01, F-02 AND PS-01F
Esoteric has announced a limited “Black Edition” of its F-Series integrated amplifiers, the Esoteric F-Series Black Edition comprising the F-01, F-02 and PS-01F.
The new Esoteric F-Series Black Edition versions are finished with a black-anodised exterior, with the company stating that the surface textures and finishes have been selected specifically for the black finish.
ESOTERIC F-SERIES BLACK EDITION F-01 AND F-02
The F-01 and F-02 are integrated amplifiers incorporating technologies from Esoteric’s Grandioso range. The preamplifier section uses a fully balanced dual-mono design, along with Esoteric’s Ultra Fidelity Attenuator System, allowing volume adjustment in 0.1dB steps. Both models also feature three ES-Link Analog inputs, balanced and unbalanced headphone outputs, a dual-mono MM/MC phono stage and three-band balanced tone controls.
The F-01 B is a Class A design rated at 30W per channel into 8 ohms, while the F-02 B is rated at 120W per channel into 8 ohms. Both are specified at twice those figures into 4 ohms, at 60W and 240W per channel respectively. The amplifier sections use dual-mono power rectification and smoothing, bipolar transistor three-parallel push-pull configurations and a 940VA EI-core power transformer.
ESOTERIC F-SERIES FEATURES
Further facilities include independently adjustable input gains, left/right channel balance adjustment, an AV through output with volume bypass, and an aluminium-bodied remote control. The amplifiers also provide RS-232C and trigger connections, together with programmable source names, mute, dimmer and automatic display-off functions.
ESOTERIC PS-01F BLACK EDITION
The PS-01F B is a dedicated external power supply designed for the preamplifier sections of the F-01 and F-02. According to Esoteric, it separates the preamp power supply from the amplifier section and increases power supply capacitance. It uses a 200VA toroidal transformer and 27,200μF × 2 power supply rectification, housed in a thick aluminium-panel enclosure.
The PS-01F B also features Esoteric’s pinpoint isolation feet, a semi-floating top plate and a 1.5m DC cable supplied with the unit.
ESOTERIC F-SERIES BLACK EDITION F-01 B, F-02 B AND PS-01F B PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
The Esoteric F-Series Black Edition will be available in the US, UK and Europe from October 2026. UK pricing is £21,999 for the F-01 B, £19,999 for the F-02 B and £5,499 for the PS-01F B. European pricing is €22,000, €20,000 and €5,500, respectively.
HiFi PiG says: The Esoteric F-Series Black Edition brings the existing F-01 and F-02 integrated amplifier designs, along with the PS-01F external power supply, together with a new black-anodised finish. The specifications remain focused on dual-mono circuitry, flexible connectivity and substantial power supply arrangements, with the F-01 B and F-02 B offering different power outputs for different system requirements.
