Edifier XR6 Active Studio Monitor
The XR6 uses a three-way design, with separate drivers handling the bass, midrange and high frequencies. Edifier describes it as a studio monitor, which means it is intended to reproduce recordings accurately rather than adding deliberately boosted bass or treble.
It is aimed at people building a compact system around a computer, whether for listening to music, making recordings or editing video.
Built in Amplification and Digital Processing
Because the XR6 is active, its amplifier is built into the speaker. You connect the system to mains power and feed it a signal from a computer, audio interface or another suitable source.
The digital section supports audio up to 24-bit/192kHz. These figures describe the highest-resolution digital signal the speaker can accept.
Price and availability
Edifier has not yet confirmed the price or when the XR6 will reach shops.
