Bluesound Pulse Sub
A subwoofer handles the lowest notes in music and film soundtracks. Adding one can give drums, bass guitars and effects more weight, while allowing the main speakers to concentrate on the rest of the frequency range.
The Pulse Sub has a softer, rounded shape designed to match Bluesound’s latest speakers and soundbars. It is available in black or white.
Wireless Connection and Built in Amplifier
The subwoofer receives its audio wirelessly from compatible Bluesound products, so it does not need a long signal cable running across the room. It still needs a mains connection because its amplifier is built in.
Bluesound says the amplifier has two and a half times the power of the Pulse Sub+. The result will also depend on the room, where the subwoofer is positioned and how the system is adjusted.
System Compatibility
The Pulse Sub is designed primarily for the Bluesound and BluOS ecosystem. Anyone planning to use it with equipment from another brand should check the available connections and compatibility before buying.
Final UK pricing and a firm on-sale date have not yet been confirmed.
