Cambridge Audio Spira Turntable
CAMBRIDGE AUDIO SPIRA TURNTABLE INTRODUCED
Cambridge Audio has introduced the Cambridge Audio Spira Turntable, a complete vinyl playback package designed to work with existing HiFi systems, active speakers, Bluetooth speakers or headphones.
The Cambridge Audio Spira Turntable comes with an Audio-Technica cartridge pre-fitted and aligned, while a built-in phono stage means it can be connected directly to an amplifier or active speakers without a separate phono preamp.
CAMBRIDGE AUDIO SPIRA CARTRIDGE AND UPGRADES
The supplied Audio-Technica cartridge can be upgraded to an Audio-Technica 3600LE elliptical stylus. Spira also features a removable headshell to make cartridge changes easier. The built-in phono stage can be bypassed, allowing the turntable to be used with an external phono stage as part of a more conventional separates system.
CAMBRIDGE AUDIO SPIRA CONNECTIVITY
A built-in Bluetooth transmitter allows music to be sent wirelessly to compatible speakers or headphones. For wired systems, the integrated phono stage provides a direct connection to an amplifier or active speakers.
CAMBRIDGE AUDIO SPIRA DESIGN
Spira uses an aluminium alloy tonearm with adjustable tracking force and anti-skate, together with a solid lacquered wooden plinth. The belt-drive design incorporates a 1.8kg engineered steel platter, with the platter weight specified to improve rotational stability and reduce vibration. A felt mat is included, while vibration-absorbing feet and a ground connector are intended to help reduce unwanted noise.
Electronic speed selection is provided through a single dial for switching between 33 and 45rpm. A hinged smoked dust cover is also supplied to protect records and the stylus between listening sessions.
COLOURS
The Cambridge Audio Spira is available in Black, White, Blue, Green and Orange finishes. The colours are designed to correspond with Cambridge Audio’s L/R active stereo speakers, while also offering different options for existing interiors.
