Acoustic Signature Merlin Neo And Thirty Neo Launch At High End Vienna 2026

German analogue specialist Acoustic Signature is using High End Vienna 2026 to mark its 30th anniversary with the introduction of two new turntables, the Acoustic Signature Merlin NEO and Thirty NEO.

The company, founded in 1996 and based in Süßen, Germany, says both models incorporate technologies developed across its three decades of turntable manufacturing.

ACOUSTIC SIGNATURE MERLIN NEO CONTINUES A WELL-KNOWN DESIGN

The Acoustic Signature Merlin NEO replaces the original Merlin turntable introduced in 2016. Supplied as a package with the company’s TA-500 NEO tonearm and AudioQuest Golden Gate cable, the new model features a one-piece aluminium chassis, external AC motor, digital motor control, and the company’s Dura Turn Diamond (DTD) bearing system. It also incorporates Acoustic Signature’s Constraint Layer Damping (CLD) construction and AVC Level 1 (Automatic Vibration Control) technology. The Merlin NEO is available in black or silver finishes and has a retail price of €3,998.

THIRTY NEO CELEBRATES ACOUSTIC SIGNATURE’S ANNIVERSARY

The Acoustic Signature Thirty NEO is the company’s anniversary flagship turntable. Designed to accommodate up to three tonearms, it uses a three-motor belt-drive system, a 14kg aluminium platter with integrated damping elements, and a DMC-20 external motor controller. The turntable also features AVC Level 3 vibration control, Acoustic Signature’s DTD bearing technology, and a chassis constructed from aluminium with CLD damping. The Thirty NEO has a retail price of €24,999.

DMC-50 MOTOR CONTROLLER ALSO ON SHOW

Alongside the anniversary turntables, Acoustic Signature is highlighting its DMC-50 external motor controller. Developed for use with the company’s NEO series turntables, the controller employs AVC Level 3 technology to monitor and correct motor phase variations in real time. The unit features a faster microcontroller than the DMC-20 and a 100VA toroidal transformer housed within a solid aluminium chassis.
