ACOUSTIC ENERGY AE2 40TH ANNIVERSARY TO MAKE WORLD PREMIERE AT NORTH WEST AUDIO SHOW 2026
Acoustic Energy has announced that the new AE2 40th Anniversary loudspeaker will receive its world premiere at North West Audio Show 2026.
Visitors to Cranage 2026 will be the first members of the public to hear the loudspeaker ahead of its full launch later in the summer.
AE2 40TH ANNIVERSARY CONTINUES ANNIVERSARY SERIES
The AE2 40th Anniversary follows the introduction of the AE1 40th Anniversary loudspeaker in 2025 and forms part of the company’s lead-up to its 40th anniversary celebrations.
Based on the original AE2 Signature design, the new limited-edition loudspeaker has been redeveloped by Acoustic Energy’s in-house design team, incorporating a range of modern updates throughout the design.
ACOUSTIC ENERGY AE2 40TH ANNIVERSARY DESIGN DETAILS
The AE2 40th Anniversary uses drivers derived from the AE1 and includes additional internal steel plates designed to reduce cabinet colouration. According to Acoustic Energy, the speaker is intended to build on the approach taken with the AE1 40th Anniversary while offering greater scale and output capability.
Positioned above the AE1 in the range, the AE2 has been developed for larger listening rooms. The design aims to combine the output and presence of a small floorstanding loudspeaker with the placement flexibility and imaging benefits typically associated with standmount speakers.
AE2 40TH ANNIVERSARY DEMONSTRATION SYSTEM
At NWAS 2026, the loudspeakers will be demonstrated as part of a complete system featuring Rega Mercury and Solis pre and power amplification, an Eversolo T8 streamer, AudioQuest cabling and Custom Design stands.

Visitors to the show will be able to hear the world premiere demonstration of the AE2 40th Anniversary in Room 245, where Acoustic Energy will be exhibiting throughout North West Audio Show 2026.
