Copenhagen Loudspeaker Company CLC65A Launch At Warsaw 2026

Copenhagen Loudspeaker Company (CLC), the Danish loudspeaker brand established by Gato Audio, will present the new CLC65A at Audio Video Show Warsaw 2026.

The fully active loudspeaker is based on the existing CLC65 three-way design but replaces its passive crossover with active DSP-controlled architecture and dedicated amplification. Designed, developed and built in Copenhagen, the CLC65A retains the driver configuration and acoustic concept of the CLC65, alongside its Scandinavian design.

Each CLC65A incorporates three amplifier channels rated at 150 watts each, providing dedicated amplification for the tweeter, midrange and bass sections. A 96kHz/32-bit DSP engine controls the crossover characteristics, frequency response, phase and time alignment.

The active design removes the passive crossover components between the amplifiers and drivers, allowing the individual transducers to be controlled through the DSP.

PURIFI DRIVERS

The CLC65A uses Danish Purifi transducers throughout. High frequencies are handled by a 33mm Purifi PTT1.3 tweeter, integrated into a 147mm waveguide.

A dedicated 6.5-inch Purifi midrange driver is combined with a 10-inch Purifi bass driver and two rear-facing 10-inch passive radiators.

CLC65A CONNECTIVITY AND ROOM CORRECTION

Connectivity includes a balanced XLR analogue input for connection to a preamplifier, while integrated WiSA wireless technology supports lossless transmission up to 24-bit/96kHz. A coaxial S/PDIF digital connection provides an additional wired option.

The integrated DSP also provides app-controlled room correction and equalisation. The manufacturer says this allows listeners to adjust the loudspeakers to their room and preferences while retaining the factory crossover settings.

The CLC65A is available in satin white, satin black and satin walnut real wood veneer. Each loudspeaker is designed, developed, assembled and tested in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The CLC65A will sit alongside the passive CLC65 in the Copenhagen Loudspeaker Company range, offering an active alternative with integrated amplification and DSP.
