NAIM CI-UNITI 102 GETS HOME-FRIENDLY ACCESSORY KIT THAT BRINGS STREAMER-AMPLIFIER INTO THE HOME
Naim Audio has introduced a new accessory kit for its CI-Uniti 102 streamer-amplifier, allowing the unit to be used outside of a traditional professional integration rack.
The kit is intended to make the Naim CI-Uniti 102 suitable for straightforward installation in a home environment.
NAIM CI-UNITI 102 WITH FOUR FEET FOR FLEXIBLE PLACEMENT
The accessory kit adds four feet, allowing the CI-Uniti 102 to be positioned on furniture or shelving rather than being installed within a technical rack. Naim says the approach is aimed at combining the unit’s integration capabilities with a more conventional at-home setup. The CI-Uniti 102 can also be used as part of a system with Focal speakers or within a multi-room installation.
REMOTE CONTROL AND APP FUNCTIONS
The kit includes a remote control providing access to volume, standby, mute and presets. Further control and configuration are available through the Focal & Naim app.
The app provides built-in sound adjustment options, including a four-band equaliser and filtering options designed for 2.1 configurations. These allow the system to be adjusted according to the listening environment and personal preference.
A DIFFERENT WAY TO USE THE CI-UNITI 102
Originally designed as an amplified streaming solution for integration professionals, the CI-Uniti 102 can now be used as a standalone component in a domestic system with the addition of the accessory kit. The new configuration provides a way to use the streamer-amplifier without the installation requirements normally associated with professional integration.
