GOLDMUND TELOS 9800 MONOBLOCK AMPLIFIER LAUNCHED AT HONG KONG HIGH END AV SHOW 2026
Goldmund has launched its new flagship mono power amplifier, the Goldmund Telos 9800 Amplifier, at the Hong Kong High End AV Show 2026, which took place at the weekend.
Designed, engineered and assembled in Switzerland, the Goldmund Telos 9800 introduces a new amplifier platform for the company, with separate power supply and amplification units housed in two physically distinct but interconnected enclosures.

According to Goldmund, separating the power supply from the amplification stage allows each section to operate independently while reducing electrical interference and improving mechanical stability. The amplifier also introduces a new industrial design created in collaboration with designer Cécile Barani, featuring a two-part aluminium chassis with a digital interface and Goldmund’s updated styling.
GOLDMUND TELOS 9800 TECHNOLOGY
The Telos 9800 is built around what Goldmund describes as a proprietary symmetrical architecture and fully symmetrical power stage. Its controlled energy management system incorporates high-performance custom transformers and a high-capacity capacitor bank. According to the technical specification, the amplifier delivers 1,560Wrms into 8 ohms, increasing to 2,520Wrms into 4 ohms, 3,250Wrms into 2.7 ohms and 4,180Wrms into 1.4 ohms. The amplifier has a damping factor of 900 at 1kHz into 8 ohms and is specified with THD+N below 0.005% from 20Hz to 20kHz at 30Vrms output.
CONNECTIVITY AND CONSTRUCTION
The Telos 9800 provides balanced XLR and RCA analogue inputs, along with S/PDIF digital input and output, Goldmund 4B and binding post speaker connections, RS232 and trigger connections. Cooling is handled through natural convection, while protection circuits cover thermal overload, overcurrent and short-circuit conditions. Each monoblock measures 1,367 × 500 × 500mm and weighs 360kg.

The Goldmund Telos 9800 is priced at 400,000 CHF per unit, approximately £370,000 / €430,000 / $500,000. Availability has not been confirmed.
