ONKYO MUSE Y-50 80TH ANNIVERSARY NETWORK INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER UNVEILED
Onkyo has introduced the Onkyo MUSE Y-50 80th Anniversary Network Integrated Amplifier as part of its celebrations marking 80 years since the company was founded in 1946.
The amplifier was presented at Audio Advice Live 2026 and forms part of the company’s anniversary MUSE Series, which combines styling inspired by classic Onkyo components with modern streaming and connectivity features.
ONKYO MUSE Y-50 80TH ANNIVERSARY DRAWS ON CLASSIC DESIGN
The MUSE Y-50 Network Integrated Amplifier Anniversary Edition takes its design cues from Onkyo’s Integra products of the 1990s, including the M-588 power amplifier. It features Bordeaux walnut side panels, a Champagne Gold aluminium front panel and a San Kuzushi-pattern ventilated top plate inspired by Japanese culture. A 5.46-inch colour LCD displays playback information, settings and analogue-style VU meters, while the Onkyo Controller app provides system management.
The amplifier delivers 250W into 4-ohm speakers using a Class D Axign amplifier with MOSFET output. Connectivity includes analogue RCA, coaxial digital, HDMI, HDMI ARC, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and MM/MC phono inputs. Streaming support includes Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay 2, Google Cast and Qplay. The MUSE Y-50 also incorporates proprietary room calibration technology developed for the MUSE Series.

According to Onkyo, the MUSE Series has been developed to combine the appearance of classic HiFi equipment with contemporary streaming capability and connectivity. The Y-50 is designed to accommodate both floorstanding and bookshelf loudspeakers while offering support for a wide range of analogue and digital sources.
ONKYO MUSE Y-50 80TH ANNIVERSARY PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
The Onkyo MUSE Y-50 80th Anniversary Network Integrated Amplifier will be available in the USA from August 2026 priced at $1,699. UK availability is expected in Q4 2026 with a retail price of £1,599, through UK distributor Henley Audio.
