The launch of the Black Cat Cable Graceline III Wagner Cable Range marks the first completely new cable introduced by the company since Mayu Sommovigo took over the running of Black Cat Cable in 2022.
BLACK CAT CABLE GRACELINE III WAGNER DESIGN
According to Black Cat Cable, the Graceline III Wagner follows the design approach established by founder Chris Sommovigo for the Graceline III Mezame. While Mezame uses a hybrid construction, Wagner is an all-copper version of that design.
The company says the cable has been developed to provide greater bass presence and a wider dynamic range while maintaining the low-noise performance and detail retrieval associated with the Graceline III Mezame.
THE STORY BEHIND THE GRACELINE III WAGNER NAME
Black Cat Cable says the new cable takes its name from composer Richard Wagner. Development of the product coincided with Mayu performing Wagner’s Twilight of the Gods with the Atlanta Opera, with the company stating that the name reflects the inspiration drawn from the scale and dynamic range of the composer’s music.

The Black Cat Cable Graceline III Wagner RCA and XLR interconnects start at $3,995 for a one-metre pair. Graceline III Wagner speaker cables start at $5,295 for a 1.5-metre pair.
