Nytech Audio And Cadnam Audio At NWAS 2026
NYTECH AUDIO PHONO STAGES TO DEBUT AT NORTH WEST AUDIO SHOW 2026
Nytech Audio will return to the North West Audio Show for the first time in eleven years, exhibiting a range of new phono stages alongside amplification products and active crossover systems. They will exhibit with Cadnam Audio Loudspeakers.
The Cardiff-based company, re-established by Phil Balaam in 2013, continues to develop products based on the heritage of the original Nytech and Ion Systems amplifier designs.

NYTECH AUDIO CDP132 PHONO STAGE
A key launch at Cranage 2026 will be the new CDP132 phono stage, which replaces the company’s CDP122. The moving magnet design features low-noise JFET amplification, a passive RIAA network, fully discrete hand-built construction and a separate current amplifier stage. Nytech says the unit has been designed as a straightforward plug-and-play solution without the need for cartridge matching switches or user adjustments.
NYTECH AUDIO MCP1 AND MCA1 PHONO STAGES
Also making an appearance will be the MCP1 moving coil phono stage, based on the CDP132 platform. The design removes electrolytic capacitors from the signal path and includes a gain switch for system matching.
Alongside it, the MCA1 is intended to work with existing moving magnet phono stages in a role similar to a step-up transformer. The unit uses a 9V battery power supply, with Nytech estimating a battery life of four to five years under normal use.

NYTECH AUDIO ACTIVE SYSTEMS AND AMPLIFICATION
Visitors will also be able to hear the CA352 integrated amplifier partnered with the new CXA352 active speaker upgrade system. The CXA352 combines electronic crossovers and additional amplification within a single chassis and will be demonstrated with Cadnam Audio’s M4 loudspeaker system.
Nytech will also showcase its active crossover solutions for a variety of classic loudspeakers, including models from Linn, Naim, ARC, Roksan and Ion Systems.
ANALOGUE AND DIGITAL SOURCES AT NWAS 2026
Demonstration systems will use a selection of analogue and digital source components. Vinyl playback will include Rega Planar 8 and Linn Sondek LP12 turntables, while digital playback will feature a Raspberry Pi 5 music server, AudioQuest Cobalt USB DAC, solid-state music storage and the Volumio streaming platform. Visitors will also be able to view a display of classic Nytech and Ion amplifiers from the 1970s through to the 1990s.
