TRIANGLE SOLSTICE LOUDSPEAKER SERIES INTRODUCED WITH NEW DRIVER AND CABINET DESIGN
French loudspeaker manufacturer Triangle has announced the new Triangle Solstice loudspeaker range, a series developed and manufactured in Soissons, France.
The new Triangle Solstice line succeeds the company’s long-running Esprit range and introduces a completely new platform, including redesigned drivers, revised cabinet construction and a new integrated base system.

TRIANGLE SOLSTICE RANGE INCLUDES THREE MODELS
The Triangle Solstice range launches with three models designed for both two-channel and home cinema systems. The line-up consists of the Solstice 8 floorstanding loudspeaker, the Solstice 3 standmount speaker and the Solstice C3 centre-channel model. All three share common design principles, driver technology and cabinet architecture, and are available in Teak, Birch, White and Black Ash finishes. Matching stands are also available for the Solstice 3.

The Solstice 8 is a three-way bass-reflex floorstander featuring a 25mm horn tweeter, a 16cm cellulose midrange driver and twin 16cm woofers. The Solstice 3 is a two-way bass-reflex standmount using a 25mm horn tweeter and 16cm mid-woofer, while the Solstice C3 centre speaker combines the same tweeter with twin 16cm mid-woofer drivers in a sealed enclosure. The range is designed to offer consistent voicing across stereo and multichannel installations.
NEW HORN TWEETER
A key development in the range is the new TZ2540MG horn tweeter, created specifically for Solstice. The design incorporates an OS-SEW (Oblate Spheroid Super Elliptical Waveguide) horn profile intended to improve high-frequency dispersion and listening consistency across a wider seating area. The tweeter uses a 25mm aluminium/magnesium dome, a neodymium ring motor and a rear absorption chamber designed to reduce internal reflections.

TRIANGLE SOLSTICE DRIVER TECHNOLOGY AND CABINET DESIGN
Every driver in the Solstice series has been developed specifically for the range. The 16cm drive units employ new die-cast aluminium baskets and natural cellulose pulp cones, while the Solstice 8 floorstander uses twin concave-cone bass drivers. Triangle says the cabinet design focuses on reducing unwanted resonance through a Driver Vibration Absorption System (DVAS), which mounts each driver against an internal high-density brace with an EVA foam interface. High-density MDF construction and rounded cabinet edges are also used throughout the range.
TRIANGLE SOLSTICE 8 INTEGRATED BASE SYSTEM
The flagship Solstice 8 incorporates a newly developed integrated base that combines vibration control, mechanical isolation and bass-reflex loading. The design includes a hidden laminar-flow bass-reflex port, a cast-iron and silicone dual-material structure, a two-degree rearward tilt and adjustable floor spikes with matching counter-spikes.

TRIANGLE SOLSTICE PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
The Triangle Solstice range is available this month. UK pricing is set at £1,999 per pair for the Solstice 8 floorstanding speakers, £999 per pair for the Solstice 3 standmount speakers and £579 each for the Solstice C3 centre-channel speaker. Pricing for the optional S05 speaker stands is currently TBC.
