Raidho X2.8 Floorstanding Loudspeaker
RAIDHO X2.8 JOINS THE X SERIES
Raidho Acoustics has announced the Raidho X2.8, a new three-way floorstanding loudspeaker that will join the company’s X Series range.
Designed and hand-built in Denmark, the new model incorporates proprietary Raidho driver technology and in-house engineering throughout its design, it follows the announcement last week of the Raidho X1.6 Reference standmount speaker.
RAIDHO X2.8 FLOORSTANDING LOUDSPEAKER
The Raidho X2.8 features two 8-inch bass drivers and is specified to extend down to 32Hz. Raidho says all drivers used in the loudspeaker are developed and manufactured in-house, including the company’s ribbon tweeter and aluminium/ceramic bass drivers.
The ribbon tweeter is designed with an extremely low moving mass compared with conventional dome tweeters, while the aluminium/ceramic bass drivers combine rigid construction with self-damping characteristics. According to Raidho, the aim is to achieve low distortion, speed and controlled bass performance.
RAIDHO X2.8 CABINET AND CROSSOVER
Internally, the X2.8 uses a hand-built crossover featuring Mundorf components, Nordost cable and point-to-point wiring. The loudspeaker has been developed to balance large-scale bass performance with detail, timing and overall coherence across the frequency range.
DANISH MANUFACTURING AND FINISH OPTIONS
The new loudspeaker is manufactured in Denmark and will be available in three finishes: black high gloss, white high gloss and walnut veneer. Raidho positions the X2.8 as a larger and more capable model within the X Series, offering greater low-frequency extension while retaining the company’s established design approach.
RAIDHO X2.8 PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
The Raidho X2.8 is scheduled to be available from September 2026. Finish options include black high gloss, white high gloss and walnut veneer. Pricing is set at EUR 27,000 for the gloss finishes and EUR 30,000 for the walnut veneer version.
