Scottish loudspeaker manufacturer Fyne Audio has announced the Fyne Audio Cubitt 5, a compact active bookshelf speaker system aimed at listeners looking for an all-in-one stereo solution with wireless and wired connectivity options.

FYNE AUDIO CUBITT 5 ACTIVE LOUDSPEAKERS
The Fyne Audio Cubitt 5 combines amplification, digital signal processing and crossover technology within the speakers themselves, removing the need for separate amplification or streaming hardware. The system uses Fyne Audio’s latest 5-inch IsoFlare point-source driver alongside the company’s FyneFlute surround technology, with support for high-resolution audio up to 24-bit/96kHz. Power output is quoted at up to 240W.
CONNECTIVITY
Wireless connectivity is handled via Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD and AAC support. Physical connections include HDMI eARC for TV audio, optical and analogue inputs, a built-in phono stage for turntables and a subwoofer output. A remote control is supplied and docks onto the rear of one speaker when not in use.
FYNE AUDIO CUBITT 5 DESIGN
Fyne Audio says the Cubitt 5 has been designed for flexible placement in modern living spaces, with a compact cabinet, internal bracing and a front-firing bass port intended to make positioning close to walls easier. The speakers will be available in five finishes: Midnight Black, Pearl Titanium, Olive Green, Pebble Grey and Arctic White.
FYNE AUDIO CUBITT 5 AND THE BRAND’S DIRECTION
According to Fyne Audio, the Cubitt 5 represents an effort to broaden the appeal of traditional stereo listening by offering a simpler active speaker format with support for streaming, vinyl replay and TV sound in a single system. The product takes its name from Cubitt Court, the company’s Glasgow headquarters and manufacturing facility.

The Fyne Audio Cubitt 5 is priced at £549 / €649 / $749 and is expected to begin shipping in selected countries from June 2026.
