Pro-Ject Audio Systems has introduced two new products to its growing streaming range, the Pro-Ject Stream Box E And Pro-Ject Wireless Box E.

Designed to integrate with modern listening setups, both units form part of the brand’s wider multi-room ecosystem and are powered by WiiM OS. The aim is to extend streaming and wireless functionality across a variety of HiFi systems without requiring major system changes.

PRO-JECT STREAM BOX E

The Pro-Ject Stream Box E is a compact network streamer that also functions as a digital preamplifier. It provides access to services including Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect and Qobuz, while offering volume control and inputs for external sources. This allows it to act either as the central control unit in a separates system or as an upgrade component for existing amplifiers.

The Stream Box E can be deployed in several ways. It can add streaming to a traditional HiFi system, serve as a digital preamp in a simple separates setup, or be paired directly with active speakers for a compact solution. An analogue input also enables connection of sources such as turntables, with the ability to distribute that signal across compatible devices within the Pro-Ject ecosystem.

CONNECTIVITY AND CONTROL

Powered by WiiM OS and controlled via the Pro-Ject Home app, the Stream Box E is designed for straightforward setup and operation. It supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and multiple streaming platforms, alongside analogue and digital outputs for integration into a wide range of systems.

PRO-JECT WIRELESS BOX E ENABLES CABLE-FREE SPEAKER SETUPS

The Pro-Ject Wireless Box E is designed to bring wireless connectivity to passive loudspeakers. Each unit attaches directly to a speaker’s rear terminals and receives audio wirelessly, reducing the need for traditional speaker cabling. A stereo pair requires two units, with each needing its own power supply.

WIRELESS BOX E INSTALLATION AND USES

The Wireless Box E is primarily intended for use with Pro-Ject speakers but can also support third-party passive designs with suitable terminal layouts. Where direct mounting is not possible, an optional extension cable can be used. Typical applications include simplifying speaker placement, avoiding long cable runs and extending systems into additional rooms.

Both the Stream Box E and Wireless Box E integrate into Pro-Ject’s broader streaming platform, alongside existing products such as the Uni Box S3. The system allows multiple devices to be linked across a home network, enabling shared or independent playback between rooms. It also supports distribution of analogue sources, including vinyl playback, across the same network.

PRO-JECT STREAM BOX E AND PRO-JECT WIRELESS BOX E PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

The Stream Box E is available now in black or silver, priced at £159 SRP. The Wireless Box E will be available from late May, priced at £199 SRP per unit.

Both are available in the UK through distributor Henley Audio.

HiFi PiG says: Pro-Ject are fab at providing affordable and adaptable HiFi products for all levels of system.
