PMC CI90 SPEAKERS INSTALLED IN NEW BRADFORD ROYAL INFIRMARY CHILDREN’S CINEMA ROOM
British HiFi brand PMC Speakers has donated models from its Ci Series, including the PMC Ci90 speakers, to a new cinema room created for young patients at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
The installation forms part of a project led by Together for Cinema, a Community Interest Company specialising in creating cinema spaces for children’s hospices and hospital units.
PMC CI90 SPEAKERS SELECTED FOR CHILD-FRIENDLY CINEMA SPACE
The Children and Young People’s Unit at Bradford Royal Infirmary has seen one of its rooms transformed into a dedicated cinema environment designed to offer comfort and distraction during hospital stays. PMC’s UK sales manager, Alister Smith, said the company was pleased to support a project that aims to bring moments of enjoyment to children undergoing treatment.

The system was installed by Clever Association of Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, following discussions with PMC business development manager Craig Sowerby to determine the most suitable speakers. The resulting setup features a 100-inch display, an RTI-controlled home cinema system, lighting and blinds, with PMC Ci90 speakers chosen to deliver clarity and detail for film soundtracks.
ROOM DESIGN FEATURES BEYOND AUDIO
The refurbishment also involved Tigerplay and Creative Joinery and Design, who reworked a former physiotherapy room into a welcoming, themed environment. The space is intended not only for cinema use but also for gaming and karaoke, providing a multifunctional area for young patients.

TOGETHER FOR CINEMA PRAISES INDUSTRY SUPPORT
Together for Cinema founder Ian Morrish expressed gratitude for PMC’s contribution, noting the positive reaction from families and staff during the room’s opening on 27 November. He highlighted the ongoing generosity within the custom installation community that enables such projects to make a meaningful difference for children and their families.
HiFi PiG Says: What a brilliant project and well done to PMC for helping to brighten the lives of young patients.
