NODE AUDIO INTRODUCES ATOM LOUDSPEAKERS AT UK HIFI SHOW LIVE 2025
British manufacturer Node Audio has announced the launch of the Node Audio ATOM loudspeaker range at this year’s UK HiFi Show Live, held at Ascot Racecourse over the weekend.
The Node Audio ATOM loudspeaker range includes two models, the ATOM 525 Standmount and the ATOM 650 Floorstander, marking a significant new direction for the Cambridge-based company.
NODE AUDIO ATOM LOUDSPEAKER RANGE
Both models feature Node Audio’s patented Helical Transmission Line (HTL) system. This design channels bass energy through a central chamber and a helical pathway, allowing extended low-frequency performance relative to cabinet size. According to Node, this approach provides controlled and authoritative bass output.

NODE AUDIO ATOM CABINET CONSTRUCTION
The enclosures use the company’s patented MonoCell damping, an additive-manufactured rigid lattice that replaces conventional fibrous materials. Acting both as damping and as internal bracing, this structure is designed to minimise cabinet resonance and reduce colouration, contributing to a more transparent sound. The brand made their debut in 2018 with their first speakers, the Node Hylixa.
DRIVER AND SOUNDSTAGE INTEGRITY
Driver placement within the ATOM models is intended to maintain soundstage accuracy across both horizontal and vertical listening planes. The cabinet form avoids flat surfaces and sharp edges, improving stereo imaging, while ultra-lightweight midrange drivers are designed without a traditional spider suspension, aiming for greater clarity and reduced mechanical restriction.
MATERIALS AND FINISHES
The ATOM loudspeakers are designed and built in Cambridge, UK. Cabinets are finished in a choice of refined materials, wrapped in multi-layer acoustic fabric to aid vibration control. Structural components are precision-machined from billet aluminium and polished to decorative standards, combining functional and aesthetic considerations.
