GROOVE THING LAUNCHES WORLD’S FIRST INTERNAL MUSIC PLAYER ON KICKSTARTER
We’ve heard of subwoofer backpacks and speakers in furniture, but the Groove Thing Internal Music Player is a new concept to us, promising a truly intimate listening experience.
With the tagline “Music should be felt, not just heard”, Groove Thing invites users to “lose yourself and be touched by music with Groove Thing”.
INNOVATIVE AUDIO EXPERIENCE
Groove Thing has unveiled a Kickstarter campaign for its internal music player, a device that converts sound into physical sensations inside the body. Aimed at redefining how we experience bass and rhythm, the system is designed for immersive, full-body listening.
HOW GROOVE THING WORKS
The system includes a wearable speaker that transmits music to internal attachments, offering real-time tactile feedback from your favourite tracks. It connects via Bluetooth and supports multiple input methods including line-in and wireless streaming.
DESIGN AND CUSTOMISATION
Groove Thing features modular components tailored for different anatomies, with body-safe materials and swappable attachments. The device is designed for comfort, durability, and ease of cleaning.
FOR MUSIC LOVERS AND AUDIO EXPLORERS
Though its concept is sensual, Groove Thing is positioned as an artistic audio device, offering a novel way to feel and internalise music for both casual users and sound experimenters.
GROOVE THING PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
Groove Thing is currently available for pre-order via Kickstarter, with pledge levels offering discounts on expected retail pricing, starting from $275. Final retail price: TBC. The Kickstarter will close at the end of this month with shipping expected around the end of 2025/early 2026.
