SHUNYATA RESEARCH EVEREST-X: FLAGSHIP POWER DISTRIBUTOR RELEASED
The Shunyata Research Everest-X, the company’s new flagship power distributor has launched. Available in the UK through distributor Boyer Audio.
Replacing the previous Everest 8000, the Everest-X incorporates updated internal architecture and enhanced proprietary technologies. It represents the culmination of over two decades of power delivery research and development.
SHUNYATA RESEARCH EVEREST-X
The Everest-X features a combination of Shunyata’s proprietary technologies aimed at managing power delivery and reducing noise within high-performance audio systems. These technologies are designed to address different aspects of power conditioning and distribution without the use of active filtration or regeneration.

TAPC SYSTEM USED IN SHUNYATA RESEARCH EVEREST-X
The Everest-X includes Shunyata’s TAPC (Transverse Axial Polariser) system. According to the company, this component is intended to disrupt electromagnetic field distortion within the unit’s internal wiring and circuitry. TAPC is engineered to reduce electrical noise without adding reactive elements to the signal path.
SHUNYATA RESEARCH EVEREST-X INCLUDES HARP MODULE
Another core element is the HARP module, which is designed to control resonance within the current path of the power distributor. HARP operates passively, using tuned elements to address frequency-specific resonance effects that can be present in AC power delivery.
QRBB TECHNOLOGY IN EVEREST-X FOR POWER STABILITY
The Everest-X also incorporates QRBB (Quick Reaction Broadband Buffer), which is designed to provide a stabilised energy reserve within the distributor. This patented technology (US Patent No. 10,031,536) is intended to support short-term current demands without affecting upstream components or introducing compression effects.
SHUNYATA RESEARCH EVEREST-X: DESIGN AND BUILD
The Everest-X is a vertical-format power distributor featuring multiple high-quality outlets and internal grounding isolation. It is built to professional-grade standards and offered in two finishes: black and silver. The design remains consistent with Shunyata’s emphasis on non-invasive power conditioning, with no transformers, active circuitry, or regeneration stages.
EVEREST-X UK PRICE
The Shunyata Research Everest-X is priced at £15,750 including VAT in the UK. It is available through authorised UK distributor Boyer Audio, with units shipping in both black and silver finishes.
HiFi PiG Says: Shunyata products are one of the key supporting components that have made the Boyer room at Audio Show Deluxe so popular.
