COPPICE AUDIO MODULAR BG MAKES DEBUT AT NORTH WEST AUDIO SHOW 2025
Coppice Audio returns to the spotlight at North West Audio Show 2025 with a bold new development: the Coppice Audio Modular BG, their first open-baffle loudspeaker.
Marking a significant shift in the brand’s design philosophy, the Modular BG reflects two years of development focused on expanding their approach to loudspeaker design while staying rooted in their core values of craftsmanship and sound quality.
COPPICE AUDIO MODULAR BG FEATURES OPEN-BAFFLE DESIGN
At the heart of the Coppice Audio Modular BG is a commitment to the open-baffle concept, known for delivering a spacious, transparent, and natural presentation. The design is built around a user’s choice of Lowther CM45CP or PM65CP drivers — both highly regarded for their detail and responsiveness. The open-baffle format promises a listening experience with a sense of scale and air that closed-box designs can struggle to match.
MODULAR DESIGN ALLOWS CUSTOM CONFIGURATIONS
True to its name, the Modular BG features a flexible, modular design. Listeners can choose to start with a single bass module or opt for a dual configuration for greater bass depth and scale. Each bass module is equipped with interchangeable ports, enabling users to fine-tune the low-frequency performance to suit their room and personal preference — a notable level of customisability for a loudspeaker at this level.
CRAFTED FROM PLYWOOD AND SOLID WOOD
The Modular BG is also a first for Coppice Audio in terms of materials. It combines both plywood and solid wood in its construction — a move that balances performance, durability, and cost. This approach has allowed the Modular BG to become the company’s most accessible high-end offering to date, without compromising on the design or build quality Coppice Audio is known for.
LAUNCHING AT NWAS 2025
The Coppice Audio Modular BG will be officially launched at North West Audio Show 2025, taking place 21–22 June. Visitors to NWAS 2025 at Cranage will have the opportunity to experience the Modular BG first-hand, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Coppice Audio.
